17 Weeks

Aniston's newest gift was a Bumbo seat. This chair assists her in strengthing her back muscles to help her sit up on her own. She looks so adorable in her new chair. She will sit in it and watch T.V. with us. Too cute!

Aniston is still teething...sometimes her cheeks get a little red because her gums are irritated. She will just chew on her teethers and this seems to help her. I heard this could last as much as two months.

She loves laying on her stomach and lifting her head. She can keep her head up for a couple of minutes at a time. I can barely keep her on her back anymore...she is pretty insistent on being on her belly.

16 Weeks

Aniston seems so happy all time. She laughs, plays, and loves hanging out with her mommy and daddy. It's so much fun to make her smile!

As far as her developments, she is still grabbing anything that is right in front her. When I feed her, she will put her hands on the bottle and she will try to hold it herself. Just the other day, she held the bottle for a full minute. Her hands are getting very strong. When she drops a toy, she will get frustrated because she wants it to stay in her hands.

I believe that teething is in the works because she puts every toy in her mouth and she will chew on it. I could watch her for hours!

Starting Her Out Right! Doing a 3 miler for JDRF

We did 3 miles for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation. It was so great to be apart of such an important fundraiser. There were so many people there that were sponsoring someone that has diabetes. It is such a terrible disease and many kids as well as adults suffer from this. It was a great day and we were glad to to be involved!

15 Weeks

Well, I'll tell you, this little sweetie is quite persistent! She is keeping her head up and trying to crawl. Of course, she is still a little young to start crawling but she is very determined. As I have stated in my earlier post, she accomplished turning over from her back to her stomach. She will not stay on her back anymore now that she has learned a new strategy. I am loving these changes!

Rolly Polly

On April 17th, 2010, at 12:15 PM. Aniston successfully made a full roll from her back to her belly! Her daddy wasn't here to witness this milestone so I ran and got the camcorder to film her doing it again. She had a few unsuccessful attempts on camera and then she finally succeeded. Good Job, Aniston, you're growing so fast!

Aniston at 14 weeks

Aniston is beginning to chew on anything she can get her hands on. At this point, the only thing accessible to her is her blanket and the clothes she has on. Just today, she had a spring dress on and she was pulling her dress up and putting it in her mouth. I got out the rattler/teething toys for her to play with and she loved it! I took the digital camcorder out so I could film her waving around the rattle and I watched her enjoy the sounds that she could make. What a cute site.

I have been helping her to sit up, but this is not at her level yet. She is, however, placing her hands on the floor while I have her sit up and this helps to balance herself. She lacks the muscle strength in her back, but we're working on it. ( :

Miss Independent

Aniston is in her crib for the 2nd night in a row. I will admit that she was a little ill tempered in the beginning because of the difference in environment, but after a bit of reading, singing, and playing music...she went right to sleep . I'm sitting here in bed feeling a little weird that my baby girl isn't in the basinet beside me. As much as I love watching her grow, I miss the things that I have to let go. She is sleeping well and that makes me happy.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary

Dwayne and I took the same walk down to the beach that we took the previous year to say our vows to each other. We never would have thought that this time last year, we would be pushing a stroller to the site where we got married. Happy Anniversary Dwayne!! I love you!

Our Family Beach Trip

We had such a great time at Myrtle Beach! It was a little bit chilly but it was a real joy to get away for a couple of days. Thank you to Chad and his mom for letting us stay at their place. ( : It was a real treat.
