25 Weeks! SLOW DOWN SUMMER!

Aniston is enjoying her summer with her mommy. She and I have been doing all kinds of fun activities to keep us busy. First of all, she is now able to pull herself up on her hands and knees to get herself ready for crawling. She hasn't quite accomplished this challenging task...but I'm sure she will get it by 6 1/2 months. Secondly, she can stay sitting up on her own for long periods of time. Lastly, Aniston is beginning to produce the MMMM sound. I believe Ma Ma is going to come out soon. ( :

Aniston is drooling more now than ever! Teeth will probably be coming in the next couple of months. Now that she has discovered her drool, she likes to purse her lips together and make sounds...which makes the spit go everywhere. It is so funny!

Another funny thing is that she has been making the VVVVV sound. I have never heard of a baby's first sounds being the V sound, but hey, as long as she is making sounds...we're happy.

24 Weeks

Aniston is now eating green beans, bananas, and carrots. For each food, she had to spend about 4 days eating them to make sure she wouldn't have a reaction.

Her newest enjoyment is putting her feet up in the air and grabbing her feet.

Swimming with Friends

We got to have a playdate for a little while with other babies! Aniston truly loves being in the water. She didn't cry at all! I think Dwayne and I have a future swimmer on our hands. She is so much fun!

23 Weeks Aniston Loves Green Beans!! (If you look close in the picture, you can see the green beans on her face)

After seeing the Doctor on Monday (June 7), Aniston weighed in at 19.4 lbs and she is 28 inches long. She is in the 95th percentile of kids her age. AKA....she is pretty big for her age. Aniston is extremely healthy and she checked out very well. ( : The Doctors and Nurses really love Aniston!

We were also cleared by the doctor to start little Miss on solid foods. She gets rice cereal in the mornings and either a vegetable or fruit for lunch. I started her out with green beans that I steamed and pureed. She made a face the first time that she ate them but once she swallowed it, she began to turn her head toward the spoon in hopes of getting more. She wore a lot of the beans on her face...it was soooo cute! I also made her some bananas and she loved it! My guess is that she's not going to be very picky when it comes to food.

Aniston is starting to show signs of crawling. While on her stomach, she will bring her legs up to her stomach and push off.

She is also reaching out for things to show what she wants. ( :

5K Race (Aniston's First Race)

Well, Aniston got to run her first race with her mommy! Running with us was Leigh and her daughter, Payton. Payton is Aniston's newest friend. ( : The race was great...a little hilly but who cares...it was for a good cause.
The money goes to the RLJ (Robert Lawrence Johnson) foundation in hopes to raise awareness in the role people can play in cancer treatment and cancer detection.
The girl that started this fundraiser lost her own father, RLJ, to cancer.

Memorial Weekend

Fun with family, friends, and of course Mommy and Daddy!

22 Weeks ( 5 months old)

Well, mom-cation has started! Yay!!! I can't wait to spend the next 9 weeks with my baby girl. She is changing so much and it is just a joy to be there as she reaches different milestones. This week, she accomplished holding her bottle on her own for a full feeding. I did, however, have to keep the bottle upright for her but overall she did it herself. It was so cute because at one point she was holding the bottle with one hand and it looked like she was chugging her bottle. She is also sitting up on her own for longer periods of time. We're still working on this because when she sits up, she wants to lean far over and touch her feet instead of sitting up and balancing herself. She'll get there.

Friday night, Aniston was cracking up laughing for the longest time! We have seen her laugh but this was something we had never seen before. Dwayne and I were laughing so hard at her that our stomachs ached. She makes us so happy! I always heard that when you witness your child laughing nonstop for the first time, it is the sweetest feeling...It certainly was a wonderful experience.

Saturday morning, Aniston ran her first 5k race with her momma! It was tough because there were alot of hills; pushing 20 lbs. and a stroller up a hill is not the easiest task in the world. It was a great accomplishment, but the best part about it was that Aniston was well behaved through the race and she seemed to really enjoy strolling through the Palisades. At the finish line, Aniston was asleep.

Early Birthday Present!

Oh Boy!  Was he EVER surprised!
