Aniston really enjoyed her first flying experience. She smiled from ear to ear going up on the plane and then she screamed with excitement when we landed. When we landed, we got our rental van and then immediately took off toward our destination which was to Ancortes, part of Whidbey Island. Before going here, Dan took us by Deception Pass (pictures below). All the beauty that you see was carved by glaciers many years ago. Walking along the bridge was very windy and quite scary because of its height (180 ft high). The water that you see is called the Puget Sound and this was named by Captain Vancouver in 1792. He named many other land masses such as Admirality inlet, Mount Rainier and Mount Baker. A picture of Mount Baker will be shown later in the blog.
